Mass Technology Corporation, Safe-Cut
The removal of storage tank bottoms normally requires the use of cutting
torches or gouges. Disadvantages of
torches and gouges include; risk or fire explosion, noxious fumes, noises and
rough cuts requiring additional work before new plate can be installed. This presentation discusses tracked mobile
Ultra-High Pressure Water Jet Cutting; a safe alternative that allows work in
other parts of the tank to continue undisturbed, produces a cut that is
complete, clean, and straight, cuts thru fiberglass or epoxy coatings and
cuts multiple layers of tank bottoms in one pass.
