Plants handling Acid (Nitric, Adipic, Sulphuric) and/or other aggressive media at various concentrations, pressures, and temperatures typically experience flange assembly maintenance issues; such as re-torque, re-gasket, flange maintenance (Re-machine or replacement) that can limit production runs and burden maintenance with added cost and repair. Thermoseal Inc, the exclusive KLINGER licensee for North America was invited to participate in finding a gasket solution to improve these situations. This Presentation discusses the process, successes, issues, and material that were supplied to improve these problems.
